Sunday of the Word of God
"The word of Christ dwells among you."
(Col. 3:16)
Pope Francis inaugurated the Sunday of the Word of God in 2019, asking that it be celebrated throughout the world on the Third Sunday in Ordinary Time each year. Next Sunday 25th January will be the Third Sunday in Ordinary Time.
In his homily on the inaugural Sunday of the Word of God, Pope Francis encouraged all of us to make the Word of God a central part of our daily life.
The biblical expression chosen for the celebration of the seventh edition of the Sunday of the Word of God is taken from the Letter of Saint Paul to the Colossians: “The word of Christ dwells among you” (3:16)
