Divine Mercy Sunday

Introduction(by the Presider)Rejoicing in the risen Christ and the boundless mercy that flows from his heart, we entrust the Church and the whole world to God’s compassionate and loving care.

  1. For the Church: that she may faithfully proclaim God’s forgiveness and lead the world every closer to the heart of Jesus. Lord, hear us.
  2. For our parish:that it may be a place of true welcome and belonging, where every person is received with compassion. Lord, hear us.
  3. For all who struggle to believe:that their doubts may be met with patience and mercy, and that their faith strengthened in God’s love. Lord, hear us.
  4. For all Christians:that we may grow in faithful discipleship, witnessing to the Gospel with courage, humility, and love in our daily lives. Lord, hear us.
  5. For young people:that they may grow in faith, trust in God’s plan, and find hope for the future. Lord, hear us.
  6. For peace:that hearts may be turned away from violence, divisions healed, and all people led to live in justice and lasting peace. Lord, hear us.

The Presider prays for the dead: For those who have died (especially N & N): that, through the mercy of the risen Christ, they may be welcomed into eternal life. Lord, hear us.

Conclusion (by the Presider): God of mercy and compassion, hear the prayers we bring before you and trust in your loving care, through Christ, our Lord.
