Prayer of the Faithful for the Last Sunday in Ordinary Time  

Introduction (by the Presider) Let us bring our prayers to the Lord, the great king.

1. That we may try to build a better world (we pray quietly a moment): Lord, hear us.
2. That our leaders may work for justice (we pray quietly a moment): Lord, hear us.
3. That peace may come soon to Gaza and Sudan (we pray quietly a moment): Lord, hear us.
4. That homeless people may be looked after (we pray quietly a moment): Lord, hear us.
5. That those who are sick may get better (we pray quietly a moment): Lord, hear us.
6. That God may bless our Catholic schools (we pray quietly a moment): Lord, hear us.

The Presider prays for all the dead: For all who have gone to their eternal rest (especially N and N), that, with the good thief, they may find a place in Paradise (we pray quietly a moment): Lord, hear us.

Conclusion (by the Presider)O God, you rule your people with love and compassion: listen to our prayers and give us the help we need, through Christ our Lord. Amen.
