October is the month of the RosaryOctober is the month of the Rosary

Pope Leo has invited Catholics to pray the Rosary for peace during October.

“I would like to make an appeal that is particularly close to my heart, here in this place,” Pope Leo said during his Angelus address in Lourdes, at the conclusion of the outdoor Mass he celebrated there. “It was here the Immaculate Virgin appeared to Saint Bernadette with the Rosary and, as it were, guided her in prayer. For this reason, today I invite all the faithful and all Christian communities to pray the Rosary throughout the coming month of October, with the particular intention that wars may cease and that peace may be established among peoples in conflict,” the Pope continued. “Let us accompany this prayer with concrete acts of penance and mercy, committing ourselves always to fostering dialogue and reconciliation.”

The Rosary is recited at 9.40am before the 10.00am Masses in Glounthaune and Little Island

St Joseph’s Church, Glanmire, every Friday evening at 7.00pm for the month of October.

Rosary every evening at 7.30pm. in Glenville Church for the month of October, and also before Masses in Watergrasshill
